The origin story

Gamekast built proprietary streaming hardware, the SB1 and SB2 stream boxes, to give families a way to watch their kids play live, anywhere in the world. Founded in 2019 in South Florida, the platform proved itself first in Florida high school baseball, one of the most competitive markets in the country. That's where I came on board, as the company moved from proof of concept into scale.

The situation

The product worked, and the opportunity was bigger than one sport. A regional partnership with HSBN, a growing relationship with the American Baseball Coaches Association, and over a year of work building toward amateur golf, three live growth threads, no system to run them.

Messaging wasn't consistent across channels. Demand generation wasn't repeatable. There was no sponsor-ready monetization model. A founder with this much momentum doesn't need more ideas. They need a system that lets the ideas compound instead of compete.


The golf breakthrough

In October 2021, before I came on board, Gamekast had streamed the first ever live collegiate golf broadcast of all 18 holes, in real time, at the Carolina Collegiate Invitational presented by BMW, featuring 12 of the top collegiate golf programs in the US. Dave Pezzino, Men's Head Golf Coach at the University of Connecticut, called it a huge jump into the future.

That moment proved golf as a category. The job was to turn a proof point into a channel. Gamekast Golf launched under GKLive.TV in 2022, with sponsorship packages built for events, players, and sponsors from day one, not retrofitted later.


What I owned

Positioning, messaging, visual identity, and brand system across platforms and campaigns. The GTM roadmap and channel strategy across social, community, and lifecycle touch points. Sponsorship packages, tiers, inventory, and a reporting framework partners could actually use. And the operating cadence with the founder, team, and vendors, priorities, execution, performance tracking.


Three pillars shaped the work.

Brand and portfolio clarity.

One identity and one set of guidelines across broadcast, social, and event touchpoints. Standardized naming across GKLive.TV and Gamekast Golf, so the parent platform and its highest-traction channel told the same story. Consistent messaging everywhere.

Sponsorship monetization architecture.

Tiers, inventory, and measurement built from the ground up. Local and national sponsorships packaged around marquee events, including the exclusive Summer 2022 partnership with Firecracker Sports across baseball and softball.

The official partner milestone

In June 2022, Gamekast was named the official live streaming partner of the American Baseball Coaches Association, founded in 1945 and representing over 13,000 coaches across all 50 states and 33 countries, spanning NCAA Division I, II, and III, NAIA, NJCAA, high school, youth, and travel baseball. The partnership extended Gamekast's reach into coaching development webinars and exclusive offers for ABCA members nationwide.

By the time of the ABCA announcement, Gamekast had streamed over 82,000 events to nearly 740,000 viewers, up from 30,000 events and 300,000 viewers less than a year earlier.
