Copperbridge Foundation Case Study
Global Cultural Launch Strategy for an International Arts Nonprofit
Copperbridge Foundation needed to transform an ambitious in-person anniversary program into a digital cultural experience that could reach audiences across borders.
What began as a crisis pivot became a global virtual arts and culture festival connecting artists, architects, cultural organizations, and audiences across multiple countries.
The work required more than moving events online. It required repositioning the experience, clarifying the audience value, building a digital launch model, coordinating partners, and preserving the cultural depth that made Copperbridge distinctive.

The Situation
Copperbridge Foundation is a Miami-based arts and culture nonprofit dedicated to cultural and educational exchange through artistic expression.
For its 10th anniversary, the foundation planned a series of in-person events featuring artists, architects, dancers, filmmakers, and cultural leaders from Latin America and beyond.
Then the pandemic made the original plan impossible.
The challenge was not simply logistical. Copperbridge had to protect the quality, credibility, and intimacy of its cultural programming while moving into a digital format quickly and with limited resources.
The Challenge
Copperbridge needed to answer several strategic questions at once:
How do you turn a live cultural experience into a meaningful digital experience?
How do you present visual art, architecture, film, dance, and dialogue online without flattening the work?
How do you coordinate contributors, experts, and partners across countries?
How do you reach audiences beyond the local community while preserving cultural specificity?
How do you turn a forced pivot into a credible global launch?
This was not a standard virtual event problem. It was a brand, positioning, partnership, audience, and production challenge.
What I Led
As an advisor to Copperbridge Foundation, I supported the CEO and team across digital strategy, marketing direction, social media, launch framing, and the virtual event model.
The work included:
Strategic pivot
Reframed the 10th anniversary program from in-person events into a digital cultural festival with international reach.
Audience positioning
Clarified how the festival would speak to arts, culture, architecture, design, film, and Latin American cultural exchange audiences.
Messaging and promotion
Shaped the digital promotion strategy for a multi-event festival across social media, email, partner channels, Zoom, and Facebook Live.
Partner amplification
Helped frame sponsor, institutional, cultural, and community partner participation to expand credibility and reach.
Virtual event model
Supported the launch structure for programming across architecture, design, film, cultural dialogue, and cross-border artistic exchange.
This reads cleaner and more executive.
Selected Programming From the Festival
The virtual festival brought together international programming across architecture, dance, design, film, and cultural dialogue.

The Strategic Shift
The key strategic shift was moving Copperbridge from “events that could no longer happen in person” to “a global cultural platform that could reach people who would never have been able to attend locally.”
That shift changed the value proposition.
Instead of treating digital as a backup plan, the festival became an opportunity to expand access, deepen cultural dialogue, and connect a wider international community.
The work reframed the pivot around reach, relevance, and cultural exchange.
The Launch System We Built
Reposition the Experience
Turned a planned 10-event in-person anniversary program into a digital-first international arts festival built from Copperbridge’s decade-long cultural programming archive.
Activate Partner Distribution
Worked with sponsors, cultural partners, community organizations, and institutional collaborators to expand reach beyond Miami.
Build the Attendance Engine
Coordinated promotion across social media, email, live streams, partner amplification, Zoom, and Facebook Live.
Extend the launch window
Shifted the model from a short in-person event cycle to a seven-month digital series that compounded visibility, attendance, and audience engagement.
Partners + social + email → registrations → live attendance → sponsor and donor engagement opportunities
The Results
The digital festival ran as a series of international live events from September 2020 through April 2021.
Programming included cultural conversations, architecture and design events, film-related programming, and discussions featuring contributors from countries including Cuba, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Sweden, Japan, and the US.
The festival reached more than 3,000 attendees across events.
It also created a stronger digital engagement model for the foundation, expanded the audience beyond geographic limits, and demonstrated how an arts and culture organization could use digital platforms to preserve relevance during disruption.
